My father is turning into soil

I recorded a cosmic sound and angel-like microbes in my fathers grave, and will project them on the exhibition's ceiling as if they are above us as heaven.
A way to seek solace in the life in which he continues, and ground our understanding of the afterlife into our material planet.

A way to seek solace in the life in which he continues, and ground our understanding of the afterlife into our material planet.
Coming from an animistic material spirituality, I do not think my father has left the planet after his passing. His material is ever transforming and flowing through beings through a planetary metabolism.
Rather than the dominant narrative where the hereafter is an immaterial place far away above us, I propose an alternative where we look to our soil, and consequently our food, for the continuation of our loved ones.
Being edible and eaten is the essence of our liminal bodies.
This approach has led me to alter my vision on religion and God; Eating becomes a form of communion, cooking as ritualistic, and farming as sacred.
