#ThisIsNotAGraduationShow (2020)

The official Graduationshow during the Dutch Design Week got cancelled 2 weeks in advance because of Covid-19 measurements.

All the virtual ‘alternatives’ felt unsatisfying and were only reaching a selective audience.
To still show Eindhoven our works we (Ilja Schamle, Tom Jacobs, Dominik Vrabič Dežman and me), initiated an Unofficial Poster “Exhibition” with works of more than 45 students.
We printed 2000 posters with the projects, and QR codes to our websites, and collectively pasted them around the city

We called it ThisIsNotAGraduationShow, to be honest about the fact that this was also not a accurate replacement.
A microprotest about lacking alternatives for our “Forgotten Generation”. Virtual Exhibitions are actually just websites, and books are not suddenly Printed Exhibitons.

All posters together became a zine that we sold to cover the printing costs.
